Class Descriptions
All-LevelsThe “backbone” of our schedule; designed to connect the student with his/her inner teacher in order to develop a yoga practice that meets their physical, emotional and mental needs. Students prompted to work at their “edge” and to let go of competition and unrealistic expectations. Modifications are given to help reach the individual's fullest potential.
IntermediateThis upbeat class is perfect for anyone who is ready to bring their practice to a new level. The pace is faster and the sequences more challenging. Arm balances and inversions will be practiced in this class. This is a great class to grow your practice!
Not suitable for beginners. Yoga StrengthThis high energy class is designed to strengthen and tone the entire body using traditional yoga poses with light hand weights. This class can be done without weights if you prefer.
Appropriate for all levels of fitness and yoga experience. Children's YogaaChildren’s Yoga classes focus on the fun of yoga. Our Sun Salutations are done to music, we incorporate yoga poses with music, games and sometimes art projects. Breathing and Guided Imagery help children to relax and be in the moment. It’s wonderful to see the children’s growth in postures, balance and the ability to use their breath to calm and center themselves. Children tell me all the time that their favorite part was savasana, lying down quietly at the end of the class!
Yoga for Healthy LivingHealthy aging classes are designed to keep our bodies moving toward health whether we sit all day in an office or take care of others or find that aches and pains are suddenly catching up to us. We will concentrate on one area of the body or one modality each week. WE will work on strength, flexibility, balance, posture, and mobility.

Gentle YogaA relaxed paced class designed for all ages, sizes and fitness levels. We gently open all the joints of the body, safely stretch the muscles and relax the mind.
Suitable for beginners and seniors. Yin YogaYin yoga, , is a very distinct style of yoga that stretches the connective tissues (joints) rather than conditioning the muscles which is more "yang" yoga. The practice is characterized by holding passive asanas for 3 to 5 minutes. Some believe that yin yoga is the oldest form of hatha yoga, since it is the ideal method of physical conditioning for prolonged meditation.
