Turtlesong Yoga is all about wellness. Over the years I have come to understand that yoga is so much more than exercise. Yoga incorporates movement in such a way that it stimulates our Vagus Nerve through pranayama (breath or life force energy). The movement itself is important to our overall wellbeing but the connection to our nervous system through our breath can bring us from fight or flight to rest and digest. Bringing ourselves to a more peaceful and calm place will enable us to slow down, learn to read our body’s signals and understand what they mean for us as individuals. Everyone’s body is different and can be different on any given day. Being able to connect to your body intrinsically through daily practice can help you to master movements
that have been alluding you or causing you discomfort.
